Venture Capital Fund Operations & Portfolio Administration Manager

About the Role

Our client is a leading Japanese venture capital firm managing over 10 funds with cumulative investments exceeding 200 companies. They are seeking a Fund Operations professional to join their small, high-performing administration team supporting fund accounting and portfolio operations.

As part of the Portfolio Operations team, you will work closely with investment professionals and portfolio companies throughout the entire investment lifecycle—from initial closing to exit. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in VC fund administration within one of Japan's top-performing investment firms.

Responsibilities

• Execute new investment closings, including contract execution and coordination with investment team
• Manage ongoing portfolio company relationships and maintain portfolio database with financial and cap table data
• Prepare quarterly investor reports including portfolio monitoring and fund performance updates
• Handle ad-hoc investor reporting requests and inquiries
• Execute portfolio company exit transactions in coordination with investment team
• Participate in shareholder meetings and other governance activities as shareholder representative
• Respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional work experience
• Strong numerical and language abilities with proven experience handling complex, multi-faceted operations accurately
• Experience processing financial data with precision and using it for internal/external reporting and decision-making
• Track record of proactively designing and improving work processes rather than simply executing assigned tasks
• Demonstrated ability to flexibly reprioritize multiple concurrent responsibilities
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
• Business-level English proficiency for email communication with overseas counterparties
• Alignment with the firm's mission and values

• Conversational English ability for phone and in-person communication
• Experience in project management or operational planning, execution, and efficiency improvement initiatives

業務内容

• 投資家向け四半期報告書の作成:投資先の定点観測を含むファンドの概況を投資家に報告するため各種資料を作成。個別に求められる資料作成も対応
• 投資先株式売却実務:投資株式の売却実行に必要な手続きをキャピタリストと連携しながら進める
• 社内外からの問合せ対応

応募要件

必須要件

• 社会人就業経験3年以上
• 言語能力と計数能力が高く、複雑性が高いオペレーションを正確かつマルチに処理する仕事の経験
• 金融関連業務で発生する計数を適切かつ正確に処理し、社内外レポーティング・意思決定などに役立てた経験
• 仕事を与えられるだけではなく、自身で考えて業務の設計を行った経験
• 複数の業務の優先順位を柔軟に変更しながら仕事をした経験
• 社内外のステークホルダーと相手に合わせた適切なコミュニケーションができる能力
• メール等で海外関係先とコミュニケーションが取れるレベルの英語力
• 企業理念に共鳴できる方
