Venture Capitalist – Investment Professional

About the Role

Our client is a leading Japanese venture capital firm managing over 10 funds with a track record of investing in 200+ startups across technology and internet-related industries. They are seeking Venture Capitalists to join their investment team and support the next generation of unicorn companies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate high-growth market segments and industries
• Source and develop relationships with promising entrepreneurs and management teams
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence including market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, financial analysis, and management team evaluation
• Develop investment theses and structure investment deals including capitalization strategies
• Present investment opportunities to internal investment committees
• Provide hands-on strategic and operational support to portfolio companies
• Build networks and facilitate business development and strategic partnerships for portfolio companies
• Serve as outside director for portfolio companies, supporting strategy development and organizational building
• Support portfolio companies through IPO preparation
• Handle investor relations with institutional investors

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional work experience
• Strong passion for the venture ecosystem and startup development
• Excellent logical thinking and leadership capabilities
• Knowledge and experience in corporate management
• Business-level English proficiency
• Native-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 equivalent or higher)
• Bachelor's degree or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Executive-level experience at a startup
• Research and development background

必須条件

• 社会人就業経験3年以上
• ベンチャー業界及びその企業育成に情熱を持たれている方
• 高い論理的思考力とリーダーシップをお持ちの方
• 企業経営に関する知識・経験をお持ちの方
• ビジネスレベルの英語力
• 日本語能力がネイティブレベル、または日本語能力試験（JLPT）1級相当以上
• 大学・大学院卒
